13 November Islamic State gunmen stormed the Bataclan concert hall in Paris where the US group, Eagles of Death Metal, were playing. The terrorists killed concert goers indiscriminately and held many hostage until the police were able to mount an operation to kill the gunmen and free the remaining hostages. Police reported that at least 100 people were killed and many more injured. Seven of the eight terrorists who attacked various locations in Paris died from self-detonated bombs. At least 128 people were killed during the attacks.
